As we foreshadowed, Carol and I have sold the Stud as a partial response to some health issues.

We are delighted to announce the new owner is Steven Wheeler of "Eldamead", Lexton - just a few miles up the road! We have known Steven and his father Peter Wheeler for many years and we are thrilled they will be continuing the work we have built up over the last decade. We hope you support them as they take on this new venture. For them, the stud is new but they have been growing Stockton-style wool on the family property for a long time. You will learn more of them in times ahead; the official hand-over is 26 November 2011.

There are many aspects of the Sale which were most pleasing. The top pens of ewes attracted very high prices and the ram sale achieved 90% clearance and an average of about $800.

We have now sold all our ewes, except for one old girl who will live out her days here. We have the following rams still for sale:

4 rams remaining which were not sold on the day of the sale.
6 rams which were not offered on the day of the sale as they had some undesirable feature such as HT skin or some water staining. Unfortuntaely, any still unsold by 26 November will suffer a less than pleasant fate! Please help if you can.
